Who is Noelie Ekouwonou?

I was born on a 25th of December 1980 in Togo... I flare muic up since I was a child, loving to dance and sing. It must be a gift from God. That's why I sing His praises and I intend to carry on forever. I come from a big family of seven children. My parents got divorced in 1996 and since, I have been living with my dad.

Studies have never been of a big interest to me. I therefore opted for gospel music after my 'A'level instead of heading towards university. I am still for now single and I love having good fun with my friends. I like the sea, rocky and green mountains, birds... briefly, anything related to natural landscapes It is so romantic! I always like perfection in all that I do. I however believe I can always do better.

I love the gospel of Jesus-Christ. It is so amazing and wonderful how Jesus loves me that i can't help myself to taste of this Love forever. Jesus loves me so much that He helps me release my very first album. But what exactly this album is made of?

MY VERY FIRST ALBUM

My very first album is made of 10 songs structured as follow:

Song#1 ... I OWE JESUS

It is simply my gratitude and the expression of my Love to God. He gave me a great voice, strenght, courage to sing and above all, He died for me. Could I ever pay such an astonished sacrifice back? No matter what I try to do, I never could. That's why I owe Him, the anointed, for. 'I owe Jesus'.

Song#2 ... BATENA

This song is Writen in my natal language, 'Batena' is a shout, which would mean 'begging for help'. Sometimes when things get tougther around us and it seems that no one could help, how many times do we fail to ask Jesus of Nazareth for help if not very often? However, He said in John 16:24, '...ask and you shall receive...'. This song is therefore a shout for Jesus to always help us.

Song#3 ...
YOU ARE NEAR

When sometimes, all our hope seems to be gone, when there's no one around to comfort us, at that precise moment, the spirit of the Lord is dropped over us and we can sometimes feel His presence. He is always around to comfort us as He said in John 14:18, 'I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you'.

Song#4 ... WINNER MAN

This song is just to let the world know that Jesus is undeniably the Winner. Satan is defeated long before even the fight starts.

Song#5 ... J'ENTENDS TA DOUCE VOIX

A song written in French that talks about me following God, hearing his sweet voice that calls upon my name. Through this song, I am inviting anyone who will listen, to ponder and follow the voice of the Lord, that voice that always prompts us to do right.

Song#6 ... I AM GOD

I do not mean me but Jehowah ,the Almighty One. He is the only one that can claim to be GOd. He can do evrything for us if only we believe and have faith in Him. He has absolute power and authority on us.

Song#7 ... DODJI

This is a song in my local language called 'Ewe' (from Togo). It literally means 'be strong' and is inviting people to stay firm and upright to the Word of God when experiencing difficulties. Always remember difficulties exist to bring us closer to Heavenly Father and no matter how long the night last on us, God has the power to bring sunshine at anytime in our life.

Song#8 ... WE BOW AND ADORE

Our God is the only one that is worthy to recieve all the glory, honour and praise. We need to worship Him and only Him.

Song#9 ... YEHOWA, ELOLO

Another song in my local tongue. This time, it means 'Jehowah is great'. Wether it is in Heaven, on the earth, in the sea or even in hell our God is the greatest. Halleluia!

Song#10 ... AKPE

Again, another song, in my local tongue, which means 'thanks'. 1 Corinthian 15:57 said '...thanks be to God!...' It will therefore be very ungrateful from me, not to thank God for helping me release this very first album of mine. So, this song is to say 'thank you, Lord'.
